Be pretty if you are,
Be witty if you can,
But be cheerful if it kills you.
I attempt to live my life by these words. My life consists of my loving husband and energetic, one-year-old son. We live in the City Center of Eagle Mountain. (Nowhere have I ever lived has been quite as far from anything!) I teeter on the side of homemaker. I enjoy cooking (but mostly eating what I cook...if it's good), cleaning and organizing. I have a strange liking for planning. I went to a seminar about planning and organization and it was like a bolt of lightning illuminating the dark recesses of my brain, and poof!!! I knew I was a planner.
I think it's important to have goals and be working to make yourself better. One thing that I'm trying to improve about myself is my sense of adventure and courage to do daring things that are outside my comfort zone. I married into a family like this and I admire these qualities.
When I was in junior and senior high school, (you're not going to believe this but...) I was the biggest nerd ever! My family wasn't well-off like everyone else in the school and I had ugly clothes and huge, bug-eye, periwinkle-stripped glasses and ya - I was a nneerrdd!! It was only after going to college that I finally gained confidence in myself and blossomed into the loud-mouthed fire cracker that I am today. So, to those of you out there who think you're a nerd - GOOD! You'll grow up to be smart, successful adults - TRUST ME - here's hope.
Be pretty if you are,
Be witty if you can,
But be cheerful if it kills you.
Some days, I fall short of pretty or witty, but my biggest goal in life is to be cheerful no matter what comes to me.
