Stacey Cox-Strahan
Geography/Philosophy/Tools For Life
Ms. Cox graduated grew up in Wyoming, and enjoyed her life there and the farm she spent much time at in Star Valley. Stacey enjoys traveling and has had the opportunity to visit Australia and Brazil, and backpacking across Europe is still on her "To-Do" list; she's determined to fulfill that dream at some point in life! Stacey truly loves the outdoors and always looks forward to the summer when camping and hiking seasons begin. Along with the outdoors, she also enjoys cooking, dancing, and drawing/art.
During Rockwell Charter High School's Inaugural year, Ms. Cox taught World Geography and was one of the Tools For Life Teachers, for which she organized and executed a three-day "working" trip for her TFL students to and from Star Valley so they could experience farm-work firsthand. She says, "By the end of one day's work, my students said that they didn't know they could be SO tired!"
In her spare time during the school year, Stacey could always be found working near the stage as one of the Drama Department's "silent" advisors: she thoroughly enjoyed creating with the students and working with them to produce three fabulous productions. Ms. Cox begins her second year teaching at Rockwell Charter High School teaching World Geography, Introduction to Philosophy--one of her secret loves--and a "Tools for Life" class. She is again looking forward to working with the Drama Department on the Shakespeare Competition and "Twelfth Night" and the other planned productions.
