Andrew Young

I've been involved in Graphic Design since 1998. I started as an independant contractor and then was hired by Electronic Arts in 1999. I spent nearly 6 years at EA working on a variety of games on multiple platforms as an artist, designer and editor. During my tenure there, I contributed to over 260 games. In between projects, I taught art and design classes. I left EA and worked in litigation support building databases for the State of California among many other firms as well as provided graphic services. During this time, I taught Graphic Design at The Institute of Technology.

My family and I moved to Utah in 2006 where I was hired at a local developer as a designer. During my time there, I designed games for the Nintendo DS, Sony PSP, Xbox360 and Nintendo Wii platforms. To say that I am a gamer is an understatement. I still contract as a designer and own a graphic and web design business.

My wife Tania was and still is a registered dental assistant, but she has accepted a better job offer taking care of our two boys; Trevor, 8 years old and Seth, 6 months

I grew up longboarding (surfing), skating and playing as a goalkeeper in football (the kind you play with your feet). I played Volleyball at Ohlone Junior College and assisted the Rockwell Volleyball Team. I obviously like video games, but my absolute passion is rebuilding vintage pre-1967 aircooled Volkswagens. Yes, I like them even more than games if that gives you any idea of how much I like VWs! I owned the same 66 VW Bug from high school for nearly 17 years before I was hit by an SUV in December of 2008. Needless to say, I'm looking for another project now. I participate in a number of VW-related car shows and parades every year. I proudly served my country in the US Navy as an Electronics Technician and Ceremonial Guard.
