A Board of Trustees will be the main governing body charged with oversight regarding the school’s Director and monitoring the management by the Director of the established policies as well as developing further polices as needed. The Director will make all operational, staff, and other school-related decisions based on established executive policies,

The Board of Trustees will be initially set-up by the founding families. The Board’s main duties will be to establish executive policies, hire the school’s Director to manage the implementation of all policies/procedures and day-to-day management of the school, and maintain the integrity of the school’s charter with the state. The Board of Trustees will meet as necessary and follow open meeting laws of the state of Utah.

Parental involvement is crucial to the success of the school. They will be strongly encouraged to serve either as an appointed or an elected officer on the Board as well as serve on the Family School Organization Board. A system of checks and balances is in place with the Board, participatory/involved parents, and the Director providing oversight for one another.
